Situated in Conondale, around 13 kilometres North-West of the Maleny Township, Down at The Dale is a private, luxury-farm escape for couples. Originally named Carranagin, from the Indigenous meaning place of many springs, the 82 acre working cattle farm has been owned by Veronica and Colin since 2015.
Perched at the front of their property on Maleny-Kenilworth Road, the cabins are a short 15 minute drive into Maleny, and look out over the Conondale ranges towards the historic town of Kenilworth. Serene sunsets, starlit skies and a warm, outdoor fire for toasting marshmallows and cosy nights, make this scenic romantic getaway the perfect country escape.
Around 100 beef cattle roam the estate alongside pigs, sheep, lambs, chooks and a couple of cheeky Kelpie dogs (who have no idea how to do their
herding job). You may also occasionally see some wild deer roaming through the back hills. For many years the farm was a thriving carnation farm, and there are still large greenhouses where Veronica and Colin now produce organically grown garlic.
Situated at the front of the farm, Down at The Dale has two private luxury cabins, The Retreat and The Studio. Furnished with a queen sized bed dressed in luxurious linen, and a television connected to Foxtel, the cabins offer space to unwind and escape on your romantic Hinterland getaway. Each cabin comes equipped with a reverse cycle air-conditioner and a small kitchen with an array of appliances.
Outside you’ll find three charming sitting areas; a spacious deck (with a large outdoor bath), a fire pit, and a dining table overlooking the breathtaking sunset view of the Conondale ranges. Both cabins also have a Webber BBQ for your usage, with optional self-cook packs full of local produce that can be delivered straight to your door. Both cabins have private ensuites and are non-smoking.
